2. What is the purpose of processing your data?

Within the context of our social media, we process personal data for the following purposes:

·         Provide relevant information and content: We will use our social media profiles to post a variety of information for our followers, including news, events, scheduling, etc., with the sole aim of keeping our audience fully informed about any topics we consider relevant.

·         Handling of requests for information, complaints/claims and/or general suggestions that you may send us via social media: We will receive, process and manage all requests sent to us through our social media profiles.

·         Prize draws: If we organise a prize draw on social media, we will process your data to manage the draw, contact you if you are the winner, and manage all aspects of delivering your prize. We will also process your data if necessary to comply with our legal and tax obligations as the organiser of the prize draw in question.

In addition, we have a duty to you to tell you in full how we use your personal data for advertising purposes, which is increasingly common. Platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Google give us the ability to show you highly targeted advertisements. This means that the advertising you see is more relevant to you, better tailored to your interests and less intrusive.

To do this, we may use various advertising tools offered by these platforms:

·      Standard Segmentation: We organise advertising campaigns on social media by selecting only general characteristic of the intended target audience (such as age, gender, approximate location or interests indicated by users in their profiles). This ensures that advertisements are only shown to groups that match this profile. We never receive information that allows us to identify the specific users who see the campaign. We only access aggregate statistics that help us assess how far the advertisement has reached and how effective it has been.

·      Using Similar Audiences: Sometimes we ask social media platforms to show our advertisements to people with a profile like those who have previously interacted with our social media profiles (for example, people who follow us or who have reacted to, commented on, or shared a post). The social media platform analyses these types of interactions to identify other users with similar behaviour. We do not access any personal data about these new people, nor do we know who has been shown the campaign. We only receive aggregate statistics about its performance.

·      Creating Similar Audiences: We can ask the platform to find new profiles with similar characteristics based on a specific group of people (e.g., customers or subscribers). This allows us to target our advertisements to potentially interested users without directly processing their personal data. The social media platform handles the entire process and, in the same way as above, only provides us with statistical results about the campaign, not specific identities.

·      Creating Customised Audiences: Occasionally, we upload an encrypted list of contact details to the social media platform (such as email addresses), which we have obtained previously in a legitimate manner. This information is converted into an unrecognisable format (hash) before being sent, and the platform only uses it to check whether the data matches any existing accounts. If there is a match, a personalised advertisement may be shown to that person. We do not access any new data or see who has received the campaign; the social network cannot decrypt the data if it does not match what it already has on file.

Data retention:

The data processed for this purpose will only be kept for as long as necessary to fulfil the corresponding purpose, unless a longer period is required by law.

3. Legal grounds for legitimacy

The legal grounds for processing your data are, in general, our company's legitimate interest in:

·         Showing you relevant advertising based on your interests.

·         Optimising our advertising resources.

·         Informing you about our activities through social media.

·         Responding to your queries, suggestions or claims efficiently and directly.

This is al in accordance with Article 6.1.f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We know that legitimate interest requires a balance with your rights and freedoms, which is why we have carried out a detailed weighting analysis for each of these purposes, carefully assessing the possible impact on your privacy.

For prize draws or promotions carried out on social media, the legal basis for processing will be:

·         To perform a contract, within the meaning of Article 6.1.b) of the GDPR, since participation in the prize draw implies acceptance of the legal terms and conditions governing the rights and obligations of the parties.

·         To comply with legal obligations, in accordance with Article 6.1.c) of the GDPR, when necessary to meet our tax or legal responsibilities arising from the organisation of the prize draw.

4. Recipients of the information/Communications

For advertising processing, we will share your data with the social media platforms we use for our advertising campaigns (such as Meta Platforms, Google, TikTok, etc.), depending on the advertising tools that each of them makes available to advertisers.

When creating customised audiences, we may upload encrypted lists (e.g., email addresses converted into a hash format) so that the social media platform can check whether there is a linked account and, if so, show you the relevant advertisement. This information is not uploaded in a readable format and does not allow you to be directly identified if there is no match.

These platforms do not act as data processors, but as independent data controllers, which means that they will process the data in accordance with their own privacy policies and purposes, rather than following our instructions. Therefore, you should also refer to their respective privacy notices if you wish to know in more detail how they use this information.

5. Rights of interested parties

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data.
  • Request its rectification.
  • Request its deletion.
  • Object to its processing.
  • Request the limitation of its processing.
  • Request the portability of your personal data.

You may exercise your rights by writing to 226ERS SPORTS THINGS, S.L., Polígono Industrial Cotes Baixes. Carrer C, no. 8, 03804, Alcoy, Alicante, Spain, or to the email address [email protected]
