226ers is part of the Paris-Modena charity organized by Maserati
It is a pleasure for us to communicate that 226ers will participate in the race as an official sports supplementation provider, pushing athletes as official nutrition sponsor. To do this, they will supply their products to the runners at the beginning of each section of cycling, as well as in the provisions planned throughout them.
Our CEO, Jesús Sánchez, and the director of the Endurance Research Lab (R&D area of 226ers), Guillermo Olcina, will be part of the 35 runners who will cover the bicycle route.
The house of the trident (Maserati) organizes this cycling return for 3 years, which this 2016 will take place between June 4 and 9, whose purpose is to collect funds in favor of the association ”Reverse", helping seriously ill children.
The race lacks any spirit of competition and its only objective is for participants to all arrive together at the goal. This adventure is reserved for 35 cyclists who will travel through France, he Monaco Principality and the North-Western Italy, to reach Modena In just five days. The tour, during which sections by bicycle and car will be alternated, will allow participants to admire wonderful landscapes.
To be able to dispute the test each of the athletes must pay 3,200 euros and also commit to donate another 600 (one euro for each kilometer traveled of the test) at the social end.The race will begin on Saturday, June 4, when the international sports champions registered, along with amateur cyclists, will leave from the Italian embassy in Paris. Will be accompanied by the Expileot of F1 Paul Belmondo, which is the event ambassador. From there they will be transported to Orléans, where they will take a plane that will take them to the Le Castellet circuit.
On Sunday, June 5, they will continue their trip first by bicycle to Saint Tropez and then aboard a fleet of Maserati vehicles to the Principality of Monaco, where they will spend the night at the magnificent Hotel Hermitage.
During the third stage of the Tour it will arrive in Italy: the cyclists will arrive in Sestri Levante aboard a Maserati fleet and subsequently rebuke the bicycle march until reaching the wonderful Carrara marble caves. The pilots will spend the night in Toscana, in the Bolgheri.
The fourth day the participants will cross Tuscany to reach the headquarters of the Bodegas Antinori, in Bargino, near Florence. Dinner and night will spend it in Tignanello, in the vineyards that give rise to the long winning wines solely and tignanello.
The last stage of the Tour will cross Florence until they reach Mugello and finally to Modena, at Maserati's historic headquarters. In the headquarters of the company the cyclists will make a private visit to the Maserati factory and the Panini Museum, one of the most important private maserati collections in the world.
