EXPERIENCE

It all started when Jesus, recently turned 13 bought his first sports nutrition book. He went from practicing a team sport to an individual sport, swimming. Where performance becomes only one of oneself, the improvement is subject to hard training and a sum of details that should begin to take care of, including food. He understood that sport and nutrition should walk together. He continued competing in swimming, combining with other modalities (MTB, Windsurf, skiing, volleyball and basketball), but always attentive to the nutrition section.

PASSION

Finally, in 1994 he immersed himself in triathlon, his great passion, where food and supplementation played a more important role for him. In 1999 he trained and competed very hard in different tests and championships, but he had to leave in the most important test of the year for him, “the home of Ferro de Ibiza”, one of the first triathlons of distance 226 km in Spain. At that time he was fully aware of the importance, of food, in the sport of resistance. This test will mark a before and after in your sports and professional life.

COMPETITION

In 2004, he completed his studies, and pushed by his wife Pilar, who began in the triathlon, returns to compete with clear and ambitious objectives. He gets good results, but the long distance continued to resist, always due to digestive problems in the last hours of competitions, when the body needs it more. In 2007, aware that this problem is one of the great obstacles that any athlete must overcome in the long distance; Together with your doctor, coach, dietitian, many specialized books, scientific studies and testing of all products in the market, decides to start a search to learn about the causes of digestive problems in competition, and how to overcome it.

INVESTIGATION

In 2010 he begins to make his own compositions as a result of his research. Decides to eliminate gluten, drastically reduce the intake of sugars during exercise and use nutritional sources as clean and of the highest quality (natural foods), as well as ingesting compounds with low osmolarity in order to reduce the risk to a dehydration digestion cut. Then everything starts to change. Your performance improves and products begin to sit well. During that summer I started 226ers in an office of just over 12 square meters, in the basement of his home. He was born 226ers with his first 3 references.

Overcoming

In 2011 he achieved his first classification for IM Kona, IM World Championship and in 2012 he proclaims European Long Distance Champion at Challenge Roth, going down from 9 hours. In 2014 and 2016 signing its 3 participations in the Ironman® World Championship in Kona. His life was another, both the professional and the sports, but all marked by an adequate nutrition to their needs, the same as almost any athlete with long and hard days, which seeks well -being and make this philosophy his lifestyle to improve in his day to day and sport.

PERFORMANCE

As the brand grows, in 226ers it is more aware that sport and food, in addition to being basic for a good condition and physical performance, are necessary for an optimal mental state. The more than 80 references today are not only products directly related to physical activity, but also, for day to day, for all who take care of their health. Always following the same guidelines and enthusiasm that marked the beginnings, trying to improve day by day, using the best quality of the ingredients, and always with natural products, providing special attention to the good digestion of them. Along this long road, 226ers continues to grow.
