226ers will be Sports Sponsor of Apple Postobón Team
The Spanish Sports Nutrition Brand and the Colombian cycling team have reached an agreement through which the company will be sponsor of sports nutrition in this 2017 season
The Postobón Team apple is the only professional cycling team in Colombia and one of the only two that exist in Latin America. The great stars of Colombian cycling have passed through its ranks since its foundation already 8 seasons ago: Nairo Quintana, Esteban Chaves, Darwin Atapuma, Jarlinson Pantano ...
Recently, the project has taken a real step forward since the arrival of the sponsorship of apple postobon, debuting this 2017 as a professional team and guaranteeing the achievement of the project for two more seasons.
The team includes 13 Colombian cyclists and three foreigners, one of them Spanish (the Andalusian Antonio Piedra, winner of the queen stage of the Tour of Spain; the Portuguese Ricardo Vilela, and the Dutchman Jetse Bol).
The apple team manager Postobón Team, Luisa Fernanda Ríos, argues:“We are delighted from this agreement with 226ers, since we bet on the quality of products. Sports nutrition is a crucial aspect and that we have to take care of very well in order to achieve optimal results in competition. In addition, 226ers brings us not only products but also knowledge and an important i+d in constant evolution. We are going to give them the best possible feed-back in the use of their products throughout more than 100 days of competition continents ".
For his part, Jesús Sánchez, CEO of 226ers, has declared: "We are sure that it is a solid bet. We are very excited to be part of the Postobón Team apple project, making our commitment to cycling internationally known."
Apple Postobón Team debuts in mid -February in the Volta Ao Algarve (Portugal), proof that will be broadcast live through Eurosport. In its calendar, first international competitions are included, such as Volta to Catalunya, WorldTour test that recently announced the invitation to the Colombian squad.
