Felipe Orts: eighth national title and legend of Spanish cyclocross

Sunday, January 11, 2026 will be marked on the Spanish cyclocross calendar. On the demanding route of the Ermita de la Virgen de la Virgen de Riánsares in Tarancón, before a dedicated fan base and a circuit that demanded technique, power and concentration, Felipe Orts was proclaimed Spanish cyclocross champion for the eighth time.

From the start, Orts controlled the race with the determination that characterizes him. On a day where mud, changes of pace and constant effort defined each lap, he demonstrated not only his physical condition but also his tactical reading of the race. His experience and perseverance made the difference against an increasingly competitive peloton.
