Júlia Font y 226ERS
Júia Font will participate in this long -awaited edition of Zegama - Aizkorri and it is an honor to have her as an ambassador of 226ers. We have talked to her and we have asked her how she is going to prepare for the most important trail marathon in Spain and she tells us:

What am I going to take 📝 For the Zegama - Aizkorri marathon?

  • 🍌80g HC/hour.
  • ⏰ Toma every 30 ’. The first at 40 ’.
  • Gels: High Energy, Isotonic and Energy Gel.
  • Race Day, salts and water pills🍼.
The High Energy Gel They have 50g of carbohydrates (HC) and I usually take them in places where it does not go so high pulse due to the gel density, in my case, going down not very technical sites. The Bio energy gel 40g (30g/hc) e ISOTONIC GEL (22g/hc) I can take them anywhere, although the isotonic are much more liquid and I like the contribution of 100mg of caffeineIn addition, they are very interesting, since they can be taken without water. Sub9 Race Day For the first two hours of race, it is an easy way to introduce carbohydrates without having to open a gel, and has an amount of 82 grams of carbohydrates. It is perfect to take it in a 500ml soft flask. Most carbohydrates of this supplement come from cyclodextrin and palatine, both of low osmolarity and that is why this gel is assimilated so well. In addition, it contains 1g of BCAAS in proportion 8: 1: 1 and 460mg of sodium (Na). And the caffeine? In my case I take 80-100mg in the gels ... I know, much more than indicated for my body weight (too much) and I know that it could have an unwanted effect, so every hour I usually introduce a dose of caffeine with the gels to always be on alert, keep in mind that the caffeine takes about 20-30 ’in making effect and it is interesting to introduce it in the moment before rough increases as hard as Aizkorri and face the end of the race. The salts I take them in capsules format Sub9 Pro with caffeine either Without caffeine of 226ers, an essential contribution of salts and more with the heat it is doing. Depending on the amount of caffeine that I take with the gels, I introduce an extra 40mmg of caffeine per capsule. If I have taken quite caffeine, then I take Sub9 Salts Electrolytes either Salts Electrolytes. To reach the amount of 80g of HC/hour it is best to combine, if you can and have trained regularly before the competition, GOMBOLAS (23G/HC), since they enter and absorb very well. But to my liking in this type of races I like to take only gels. An example of how I will combine the supplementation of 226ers during the marathon:

⏰40 ’Sub9 Race Day

⏰1h30 ’isotonic gel with caffeine

⏰1h40 ’Sub9 Race Day

⏰2H10 ’High Energy Gel with caffeine

⏰2h40 ’isotonic gel

⏰3h10 ’High Energy Gel with caffeine

⏰3h40-5 ’isotonic gel with caffeine

⏰4h10-5 ’isotonic gel

And what am I going to take the days before the marathon?

Very important to take Recovery, Whey And the star product for me: Night Recovery Cream, To recover between training and get your best. 🤌🏻 It is also convenient to increase salts the previous day, in the form of ISOTONIC DRINK either Hydrazero.

And the same day of the race?

2H-2H30 ’Prior to the exit I always take a Race Day (These bars are made from figs and dates and are very good), in addition to the rice bol Whey Protein. These are the following guidelines, and will continue, Julia Font to give everything in Zegama and reach the podium. And you... How do you prepare for a competition of this size? #FeedYourDreams
