Luis León Sánchez and Tessa Kortekaas winners of the XIX edition of the Titan Desert Morocco

The athletes of 226ers Luis León Sánchez (Kosner Saloki Home) and Tessa Kortekaas (Cannondale ISB Sport) have been crowned as winners of the Titan Desert Morocco after the dispute of the sixth and last stage of 70 kilometers.
The Titan Desert is a mountain cycling competition in stages carried out for 6 days in the Morocco desert. A competition with very little marked tours, where navigation and orientation play a fundamental role.

The hardness of the test, marked by the long distance from the stages, the environment and the intense heat have not stopped the Murcia "Luisle", that has demonstrated its quality dosing its efforts: attacking in the pedaling sections and being more conservative in the most technical and tactical areas.
"It has not been easy. I am not good to navigate, but I supplicate the lack of technique with legs, but sometimes it does not give, I have spent days to the limit. Today I almost have to pedal with my ears, I have not run in my life, but they are situations that this discipline requires and that I have to train. I want to enjoy the BTT this year, perhaps the one that comes, and then to think about other things." - Luis León Sánchez
On the other hand, the Dutch Tessa Kortekaas has been proclaimed as winner of the 6 stages, a total domain that requires that Cannondale already think of other motivations.
"I am in full shape and I have won quite comfortably, although it cannot be said that it has been easy. With the race, motivation is fighting with the boys. I could shoot more slowly, but it motivates me to look for the limits. I can endure the first 20 boys, at least I want to match and improve." - Tessa Kortekaas.
