Samara Maxwell: new UCI XCO World Cup 2025 champion
Historic! Samara Maxwell, Decathlon Ford Racing Team, sponsored by 226ERS, has been crowned 2025 XCO World Cup champion. This victory marks a milestone: she is the first New Zealander to achieve this and reflects the talent, perseverance and teamwork that characterize Maxwell and her team.
A dream season
The season started strongly in Araxá (Brazil), where Samara won his first elite race of the year, showing aggression and total control on the track. Throughout the circuit, the key was the consistency: points scored in each race, good strategy and resilience against falls and setbacks. Finally, although he did not win the final round in Mont-Sainte-Anne, he maintained his position and secured the overall World Cup title.

-
Equipment and support: Decathlon Ford Racing Team provided all the structure, strategy and technology necessary for Maxwell to give his best in each race.
-
High level material: His Rockrider RACE 904S with SRAM and RockShox components made the difference in performance and reliability.
-
