Daniel Oss (Trento, January 13, 1987) is an Italian cyclist. He became a professional in 2009 with the Liquigas team and in 2023 he left the cycling en route to compete in the gravel modality

His sports career

Daniel Oss shone on both the track and on the route on his youth. In 2004 he became champion of Persecution Italy in the Junior category and 3rd of the Italy championship of counterreloj sub-23.

He tested in 2008, with 21 years, in the CSC-Saxo Bank team recommended by the former Giovanni Lombardi. However, they did not sign him. He competed against others who were also tested such as: Joaquín Novoa, Jonathan Bellis and Lasse Bøchman.

Oss is then signed by the Liquigas. In 2010 he participated in the Flanders classics in the service of Manuel Quinziato. Fifth The Termina in the Gante-Wevelgem, won by Bernhard Eisel. The Flanders Tour and the Paris-Roubaix ran although he could not be with the best. At the end of August he achieves his first professional victory by winning the turning of the Veneto. The Liquigas team doubles by winning Oss to his partner Peter Sagan.

On August 1, 2017, Bora-Hansgrohe announced that Daniel Oss would become part of the team in 2018.

In 2018 he moved to Bora-Hansgrohe, where he spent four years in the team, mainly as Gregario by Peter Sagan. Oss and Sagan moved to Team Totalenergies in 2022, and Oss won a silver medal in the World UCI World Championship inaugural held in Italy, after having spent 150 kilometers (93 miles) in an attack movement with the eventual winner, Gianni Vermeersch.

In November 2023, Oss changed his focus on gravel cycling with the Specialized GraveL team.
