Javier Guerra Polo (Segovia, November 10, 1983) is a Spanish athlete, whose specialty is the background races and Cross, accumulating the title in the Spanish Marathon Championship, the last one in 2023.
Javi grew with athletics in his AND, since his father, Paco Guerra, was an athlete highlighted in Cross. Javi accompanied him to train and also the competitions that were disputed in the province of Segovia. This is why Javi is known in the sports world with the "guerrita."
His sports career
His sports history makes him considered the best Spanish in Marathon. As has been demonstrated, to date, with its brilliant sports palmarés: Olympic in the 2020 Tokyo Games; 4th classified in the European Marathon Championships in 2014 and 2018; Quadruple Champion of Spain Marathon; achieving three places in the world top 20 (positions 15, 13th and 17) in the world championships, between 2013 and 2017.
On April 16, 2023, Spanish marathon champion was proclaimed for the fourth time. He has been in the Spanish and international marathon elite for many years and can boast of having dropped twice from 2h 8m.
When in 2020 he was proclaimed for the third time champion of Spain in the Seville marathon with a brand at 2:07:27, his best record in this distance, which served to win the square for the Juo de Tokyo 2020 and debut in the Olympic marathon.
Javi Guerra He has been champion of Spain in almost all background modalities: 5,000m, 10,000m, 10k en route, half marathon and marathon.

- 4th in the European Championship, (Berlin), in 2018.
- 9th in the London Marathon, in 2017.
- 9th in the Tokyo Marathon, in 2016.
- 7th in the London Marathon, in 2015.
- 1st in the Marathon Championship of Spain (La Coruña), in 2013.
He has defended the colors of Spain in European championships, World Cups and Olympic Games. His great challenge this season is to get the minimum to go to the JJOO of Paris 2024.
