Aviles and mountain cycling

Oliver Aviles He lives in Parets del Vallés and was an outstanding biker in Xco in his Junior time, being champion of Spain and being part of the team of Team Relay, who managed to be world champion in 2005.

When he was at his best, in 2008 he announced that he retired from the BTT competition, when he was part of the ECP-TAU team, due to his repeated back problems, which they have not just sent.  He competed again, but he did it independently, always counting on the support of La Purito Andorora and Andbank.

In 2016 he was again part of a biker team, with the club of his town, the Ravet Bike Parets cycling club, with which he was linked until 2020.

In 2021 he became part of one of the best equipment of mountain cycling, the KMC-Forea. After two seasons with them, their current team is the RR Bikers Club.

Avilés' goal has always been to do his best and learn from those great teams that he has become part in recent years.

He is currently a Ridley Bikers ambassador.

His link with Purito Rodríguez

Oliver Avilés and Purito Rodríguez They are friends for years and participate together in different tests and MTB events in pairs. In addition, both are linked to the Purito Andorra, both for being runners in this cycling march, and being involved in their organization.

One of the unavoidable quotes of this tandem is the return to Ibiza MTB Scott. For Purito Rodríguez, it will be his fourth participation in this test, being, again, Oliver Avilés his partner, whom Purito defines as follows: «A cycling battles, who brings experience and security in the discipline of Mountain Bike during the competition.
