How Alfonso Celis trains. Professional pilot.

How do we work with the pilots?
The preparation of a professional pilot both physical and physiological and mental are quite particular with respect to other sports modalities. The key we follow from Fortenfit for all physical preparation is to carry out an exhaustive process of analysis of the variables that affect this process of tuning for the competition, we could classify them in two sections:
External factors: They are on those that we cannot influence the preparation, but they serve to extract variables that improve our short and long term planning. The characteristics that the test has both duration, traced and perals, intensity, demand; Without neglecting the benefits of the car and its behavior in the circuit (forces G achieved, maximum speeds ...). Of course, with the weather conditions that also make an impact on the performance of the pilots.
Internal factors: They would be all those who concern the pilot's own physical condition, from their basic physical abilities to their different responses in physiological processes, measured based on physical tests carried out throughout the preparation and it is about this variable on which our work as physical trainers enters the scene.
What could be the most important factors on which we focus?
The key points of physical preparation would be a very good general physical condition to be able to support a career of an important physical demand around 1-2 hours up in a car that has an average of 200 km/hour. For this effort not only the physical condition in general is important, an incidence in the parts of the body that will be responsible for supporting those force vectors exerted on the pilot's body during the circuit layout: core, back, buttock, gluteus, scapular waist ... and also also charge vital importance of the cognitive capacity of the pilot. It is no less important to physically endure the weekend race, but also the stimuli received during these speeds must be received and processed in a veryyefimo reaction times so that decision making at critical moments, when the pulsations are in the clouds, does not imply fatal consequences. In order for these responses to be fast and accurate, we specifically train response times and reaction to stimuli such as those that will be found in the circuit, as well as we design one of the parties also fundamental in the preparation of the pilot in competition: nutrition. In addition, one of the most important factors, which is often overlooked, is the weight of the pilot in the car.
In formula categories rather than in GT’s. In this case we will focus on Alfonso Celis, which is a pilot who measures 1’78 m, and these days is around 65 kg of weight without clothes, putting the pilot uniform plus the helmet reaches about 70 kg. Contrary to what many people will think, the pilot's weight in each of the categories does matter, from Junior formulas to formula 1. In the latter we are asked to be in this approximate weight, one or two quilograms should always be calculated above 70 by hydration levels prior to the races. But how do you get a pilot, in this case Alfonso Celis, weigh 65kg and maintain a state forms capable of supporting all the factors that leads to conduct a World Series V8 3.5 and a formula 1? The answer to this question is very simple, long hours of training in the gym, especially resistance force, and cargo force for the benefit of the abdominal "core", in addition to cognitive exercises carried out under the demand for high intensity exercises.
But, not only is it a gym, we combine all this with a balanced food, in which we mix all kinds of proteins that come from white and red meats, in addition to the legumes and of course primary carbohydrates, such as potato, moniato and other sources that do not come from refined flours in addition to the natural sugars of the fruit. In addition, before, during and then we use products from our brand, 226ers, for a rapid and good recovery to all this daily training volume, and from Fortenfit we dedicate ourselves to thoroughly plan the entire training and nutritional plan, since without that we could not always pay 100%.
What does a professional pilot eat to face a career?
A professional pilot, like other athletes, must follow food routines based on periods of preparation and/or competition in what they are in and the characteristics of the efforts they are going to perform during the test in question.
Regarding the nutrition that continues in a Alfonso Celis race from breakfast to dinner, takes hydrates, such as oatmeal with scrambled eggs. Then before eating, it would have to get on the car, take a gel with 226o -colored caffeine accompanied by water to avoid dehydration caused by caffeine and the high heat of the car and the circuit. Caffeine and gel hydrates bring to the body a considerable increase in concentration during the race, and it is very important, since the minimum error and you can have an accident. To eat or after the paste and chicken race, generally, and for dinner depending on how hard the day has been on the track, some hydrates and some fish.
As an interesting fact, it must be borne that the pre -career preparation is equally important that the physical, physiological and cognitive recovery after having made such a great effort, which is why the water replace by landing the preparation carried out to that point or their participation and performance in future competitions.
Conclusion:
From Fortenfit, as we have pointed out, we consider fundamental for any physical preparation in a sports modality, (more if it fits for the world of motoring) to carry out a detailed analysis of all the factors that interfere in our intervention to guarantee the performance and the consequent success of our pilots.
